Tribiotic® contains three, carefully selected antibiotics. Its synergistic action combats most known bacteria, without causing any side effects of antibiotic treatment.

Tribiotic® is available in the form of sachets or a tube. Thus, you can choose the appropriate packaging for your therapeutic regimen. Sachets are ideal for traveling, and the tube — for your medicine cabinet.

Tribiotic

(Bacitracinum zincum + Neomycini sulfas + Polymyxini B sulfas)
(400 IU + 5 mg + 5000 IU)/g ointment

What Tribiotic® contains

1 g of ointment contains:
active substances: 400 IU/g bacitracin zinc (Bacitracinum zincum), 5 mg neomycin sulphate (Neomycini sulfas) and 5000 IU/g polymyxin B sulphate (Polymyxini B sulfas), 
other ingredients: white petrolatum. 

Medicine applied to the skin. To be used on small areas.

What Tribiotic® is used for

Tribiotic® contains three antibiotics with a broad spectrum of antibacterial action.

Indications for use

To prevent the development of bacterial infections in minor wounds, scrapes and burns.

How to use Tribiotic®

You should use Tribiotic® once to three times a day. After cleaning and drying the skin, a small amount of the medicine should be applied to the affected area. If necessary, you can use a protective, sterile dressing.
Do not use longer than 7 days. 

Children
Do not use in children under 12 years of age due to the risk of damaging hearing and kidneys.

Contraindications

Do not use Tribiotic®: 
- if you are hypersensitive to bacitracin zinc, neomycin sulphate, polymyxin B sulphate, or any of the other ingredients,
- on mucous membranes,
- on large areas of ​​damaged skin,
- on deep or puncture wounds, severe burns, the eyes,
- on oozing skin lesions

Warnings and precautions

The use of Tribiotic® should be discontinued if there is no improvement, if the symptoms progress or symptoms of hypersensitivity are observed, including skin symptoms such as rash, itching, irritation and severe allergic reactions. Using Tribiotic® on large areas of damaged skin can cause hearing loss, kidney damage and nervous system intoxication. Persons with renal disorders or hearing impairment should take special care.

Other medicines and Tribiotic®

Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even those not prescribed by a doctor. Concomitant use of Tribiotic® and neomycin administered orally may increase the risk of hypersensitivity. Do not use concomitantly with medicines that may damage kidneys and hearing, such as potent diuretics (e.g. furosemide, ethacrynic acid), as this increases the risk of hearing impairment and even deafness, even after discontinuation of using the medicine. In case of concomitant administration of aminoglycoside antibiotics and other medicines that may impair hearing and kidneys or medicines with toxic effect on the nervous system, side effects may add up.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or plan becoming pregnant, talk to your doctor, before using Tribiotic®.  Due to the lack of adequate research, Tribiotic® should not be used during pregnancy and by women who are breast-feeding.

No relevant studies.

Possible side effects

Like all medicines, Tribiotic® can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The medicine can damage hearing, cause general symptoms of hypersensitivity and local symptoms such as rash, itching, irritation and infection with resistant strains of bacteria or fungi (yeasts). If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist. 

How to store Tribiotic®

Store below 25°C.
Store the packaging tightly closed to protect it from moisture. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
